Occurrence of the plant: Originally native to the Mediterranean region, today grown in Europe, Asia and parts of Africa and South America.

Features: The partial fruits of bitter fennel are greenish-brown, brown or green.

Taste:wspicy, aromatic, bitter-sweet

Application & preparation

Bitter fennel

Application
For flatulence, indigestion, bronchitis, throat infection, stomach pain.

 

Effect 

antibacterial, relaxing, antispasmodic, expectorant

Tea making

Pour boiling water over 2-5 g of the bitter fennel and let it steep covered for 10 to 15 minutes, then strain it through a tea strainer.

​

Drink a cup of fennel tea warm several times a day.
