Scientific name: Rhizoma Zingiberis  

Synonyms: Ginger root, ginger, ginger root

Family: Zingiberaceae  

Occurrence of the plant: Native to tropical Southeast Asia, but its wild form is unknown. 

​Features: Flattened rhizome pieces that only branch like antlers in one plane, which are usually peeled on the flat sides and still show cork residues on the narrow sides.

Taste:burning hot and spicy

Application & preparation

Ginger 

Application 

For nausea, motion sickness, coughs, headaches, flatulence and period cramps.

Tea making

Pour boiling water over 0.5-1 g of ground ginger and strain it through a tea strainer after 5 minutes.
